SKFM Emerging Asia Equity Portfolio (FIFs)
SKFM's Emerging Asia Equity Portfolios
invest mainly in Hong Kong/China, Thailand/ South-East
Asia, India/South Asia. The portfolio aims for low-volatility absolute
performance by applying techniques of value investing and contrarian
trading.
The Manager invests primarily on a bottom up value driven
basis. However geographical and industry sector asset allocation
restrictions are overlaid in order to diversify risk. No one
country comprises more than 50% of the portfolio on a gross
basis and 25% net, and no industry sector comprises more than
35% gross taking account of all region-wide holdings. Allocations
in the various markets may be substantially different from
their respective weightings in Asian regional indices. In
addition, cash holdings may be high from time to time. Futures
indices may be used in conjunction with individual equity
positions in order to achieve the fund’s objectives.
